Kentish Aquatic Club Lake BarringtonThe Kentish Aquatic Club is a water sports club with an emphasis on water skiing and was formed 1st March 1971 and incorporated in 1983. Since inception we have grown steadily to a current membership of around 100 persons. New members are welcomed. If interested please email president@kentishaquaticclub.org.au for information.

KAC is very active with ski competitions, events and coaching during the warmer months of October until April, and support events and working bees taking over as the water temperatures of Lake Barrington begin to drop below comfort levels and Tasmania’s winter approaches. Our state tournaments, local competitions, ski schools and community events are well supported. KAC is a contact for Disabled Water Ski Australia. Kentish Aquatic Club

Lake Barrington is a large man made lake situated in a magnificent forested valley surrounded by mountain landscape. It was created for electricity generation when the Forth River was dammed at Devils Gate in 1969. It is around 20 kms long and is renowned as the best aquatic lake in Tasmania.

The Kentish Aquatic Club is one of two water ski clubs operating on the lake. The annually elected committee of ten meets regularly throughout the year to manage the Club’s affairs.We offer excellent site facilities for members and guests including but not limited to:
